Ibex Reader

Terms and conditions

Effective 26 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Ibex Reader, a reading app provided by [Publisher name]. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Use of the app

Ibex Reader lets you import supported DRM-free EPUB books, read them, make highlights and notes, review vocabulary, and export or import reading data. You may use the app for lawful personal use, subject to the rules of the store or platform from which you obtained it.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to import, read, copy, annotate, and export the books and other material you use with Ibex Reader. These terms do not give you rights in books or other content owned by someone else. Do not use the app to infringe another person's rights or to bypass digital rights management.

Your content and local data

You retain your rights in material you add to the app. Ibex Reader stores imported books and reading data locally and does not operate a cloud sync or backup service. You are responsible for saving any backup you need before deleting the app, clearing its data, or changing devices. A backup or export you share may contain your notes and highlights.

See the privacy policy for details about local storage and the optional actions that can send information outside the app.

External services and links

Translation, web search, external links, file providers, and sharing destinations are operated by other parties. When you choose to use them, their own terms and privacy practices apply. We do not control their availability, content, or handling of information you send to them.

Availability, support, and warranties

We may update or discontinue features. EPUB support has limits, and some book content may be omitted or unavailable. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

For support or questions about the app, use the contact details below. Apple and Google are not responsible for providing support for Ibex Reader.

Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app, including loss of reading data. This does not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

App store terms

If you obtained the app through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies unless the App Store listing supplies a separate custom license agreement. These terms do not replace the applicable app store license. Your use of the app must also comply with applicable third-party and platform terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app or its legal requirements change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. If you continue using the app after updated terms take effect, the updated terms apply, subject to applicable law.
